Niles Township GOP President Mark Albers on Democrat leadership: ‘It’s time to confront these failed policies head-on and rebuild Illinois’

Mark Albers, president of the Niles Township Republicans, said Illinois’ high taxes, strict regulations and ineffective policies are hindering families and businesses, and he called for pro-growth reforms to help the state regain a leading role in the Midwest. He made the comments to North Cook News.

Albers said that current state policies are contributing to economic stagnation and population decline. He argued that changes are needed for Illinois to become more competitive in the region.

“For too long, Illinois Democrats have doubled down on high taxes and overregulation that are driving businesses and families out of our state. The consequences are clear: weaker growth, fewer new opportunities, and a shrinking competitive edge in the Midwest. We cannot keep repeating the same mistakes and expect a different outcome. It’s time to confront these failed policies head-on and rebuild Illinois into a powerhouse for entrepreneurship and economic growth,” Albers said according to North Cook News.

He has recently run for Illinois House seat #15 and is committed to boosting Republican voter turnout locally while communicating party positions on issues relevant to township voters.
